 · María Inés Becker

(President, Scientist, Research Director) Doctor in Cell Biology, University of Chile (1988). Has great experience in the immuno-biotechnological area, specifically in research and development of diagnostic reagent for human and animal health, using polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies. Between 1989 and 1997 she was Scientific Director and Head of the Laboratory of Immunology at Bios-Chile IGSA. where she was responsible for the development of several products that are in the market. At present she is Associate Researcher at the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Chile.

Postgraduate studies at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Medicine University of California Los Angeles USA. Founder of Bios Chile IGSA, the first Biotechnology Company in Chile. development. Dr. De Ioannes is an expert in allergy and immunology, immunochemistry

and protein chemistry especially in the area of monoclonal antibody. He has been President of the Chilean Society of Immunology and consultant in the vaccine area of OMS. Presently he is part time associate professor at the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Biological Sciences at the Catholic University and part time associate professor of Immunology, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Chile.

(Scientist, Research Associate and Director). Master in Biochemistry, Catholic University of Chile, Santiago. Mr. De Ioannes is an expert in protein chemistry, with bioinformatics studies in the Structural Laboratory at the Facultés Universitaire Notre-Dame de la Paix, Namur, Belgium. He is conducting basic and applied research on the structure and function of the Hemocyanin from the mollusk Concholepas concholepas.
